Globalization's winners and losers focus of WIDER annual lecture The noted economist Jeffrey G. Williamson has accepted an invitation from UNU World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU/WIDER) to deliver this year's WIDER Annual Lecture. Prof. Williamson, who is Laird Bell Professor of Economics at Harvard University, will speak on Winners and Losers in Two Centuries of Globalization. The lecture, which is sponsored by the Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will take place in the Ceremonial Hall at the University of Copenhagen at 4 p.m. on September 5. Admission is free and anyone planning to attend should register by August 15.
