UNU-MERIT adopts open courseware strategy for PhD programme

Nine students have joined the new PhD programme on Innovation Studies and Development at UNU Maastricht Economic and social Research and training centre on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT).

The multi-disciplinary programme will investigate the problems and choices linked to technological development and innovation processes within firms and policy institutions.

As part of efforts to make learning materials freely available, particularly in developing countries, audio recordings of the classes and related learning materials created at the institute will be made freely available over the Internet.

A total of 52 researchers are currently enrolled in the two PhD programmes offered at the Institute.
