Award
Professor Janine R. Wedel, a participant in the
UNU/WIDER
project "Why Some Countries Avoid Conflicts While Others
Fail", has won the 2001 Grawemeyer
World Order Award for Ideas Improving World Order.

upgrades plant tissue culture laboratory
UNU
Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU/INRA) has completed a
major upgrade of the University of Ghana's plant tissue culture
laboratory, an important facility for research, training, germplasm
conservation and dissemination of information on indigenous African food
crops.
