UNU forges link with
Japanese high school

UN University has signed an agreement with Kanagawa Prefectural Senior High School of Shichirigahama to cooperate in the Education for International Understanding Programme as a new step for enhancing cooperation with high schools in Japan.

It is the first time UNU has entered into an educational cooperation programme with a high school in Japan. The aim is to increase high school students’ interest in international affairs, including the activities of the United Nations, though lectures and student participation in UNU events.

The agreement was formalised during a June 9 ceremony at UNU Centre, Tokyo, with Rector Hans van Ginkel signing on behalf of UNU and principal Mr. Motoharu Tsutazawa representing Kanagawa Prefectural Senior High School of Shichirigahama.
