Workshop launches SA A South African Learning Cooperative for nutrition was launched at a week-long workshop organised by the Southern African Nutrition Capacity Development Task Force of the UNU Food and Nutrition Programme (UNU-FNP). The workshop’s goals
were to formalize the cooperative and plan the integration of Nutrition
for HIV/AIDS in the pre-service training programmes for nutritionists.
Eventually, the program will be modified and extended to other health
professionals.
The first seminar of the African Nutrition Leadership Programme, one of UNU-FNP's main African capacity building projects, was held in Khaya Ibhubesi, Parys, South Africa. The week-long event included sessions on leadership, team building, social responsibility, international organisations, communications and marketing. Participants also formulated a declaration on their role in African nutrition. |
