PLECserv launched with information UNU Project on People, Land Management and Ecosystem Conservation (UNU/PLEC) has established a new list-serv for scientists and professionals concerned with rural development and conservation in smallholder farming regions of the developing world. PLECserv is a a free twice-monthly service that will carry information about recent publications, new research methodology and developments in agrobiodiversity, farmers' innovation and technical knowledge, and development practice and thinking. The first two issues of PLECserv appeared in December 2002 and contained features on multistrata home gardens and farmer-managed biodiversity in the Amazon floodplain in Peru.
