Peace and Governance Programme
UNU Peace and Governance Programme has appointed Dr. Chiyuki Aoi as academic programme officer. Before joining UNU, Dr. Aoi was an adjunct lecturer at Aoyama Gakuin University. Dr. Aoi was educated at Sophia University (Japan), Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Columbia University, where she received her PhD in Political Science specializing in international relations. During her Ph.D. studies (1991-1992), she worked at the Center for Documentation and Research in the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva 1991 to 1992. With Yozo Yokota, she
co-authored the paper "Japan's Foreign Policy Towards Human Rights:
Uncertain Changes" in the book Foreign Policy and Human Rights: A
Comparative Analysis (UNU Press, Tokyo, 2000). |
