Applications invited for Akino Memorial Intership

Japanese university graduates undertaking an internship in any UN system organization outside Japan have been invited to apply for financial support in the form of a UNU-Akino Memorial Internship.

The internships are part of the Akino Memorial Research Project, initiated in 1999 when United Nations University (UNU) received a ¥100 million donation from the Government of Japan in memory of Dr. Yutaka Akino, who was killed in July 1998 while on active service with the United Nations Mission of Observers in Tajikistan. Each UNU-Akino Memorial Internship will cover travel and insurance costs and provide support for living expenses for a maximum of one year.

For more information contact Asami Oishi.
