Internships with UNU Press

Apply to be an Intern or Volunteer!

UNU Press welcomes enquiries from potential interns and volunteers. We offer you the opportunity to learn about the modern publishing industry, the United Nations system, and the scholarly work of United Nations University.

Interns are unpaid assistants who spend 3 to 6 months working in UNU Press to learn about our operations while assisting in our work. Volunteers are also unpaid assistants, but usually work for less than 3 months.

You might find yourself investigating digital publishing methods, researching new production facilities, or helping with the sale and marketing of books to customers around the world. Of course there is also plenty of normal office work to do!

We welcome proactive individuals who want to work with different cultures in a busy office. If you would like to learn more about being an intern or volunteer please send us an email describing your interests, qualifications and work experience to press@hq.unu.edu.

Please note that interns need to formally apply to the UNU Internship Programme.
