1 Founding Director, Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama (INCAP).

2 Former Director, Division of Biostatistics, INCAP.

3 Incaparina is the generic name for a vegetable mixture having a nutritional value similar to that of milk and suitable for the mixed feeding of infants and young children. The Incaparina formula employed in this project provided approximately one-third of the protein from cottonseed flour and two-thirds from whole ground corn. A premix providing thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin A, iron and calcium was incorporated.
