Mikiko Nagai has graduated from SophiaUniversity. After having worked in France for a few years, she has joined JICA project in Mongolia and carried out research on the problems of overgrazing in Mongolia. After completing five years of mission with JICA, she has enrolled in the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo to study more about sustainable social system for utilizing limited natural resources. The subject of her M.A. thesis was about the influence of privatization of livestock upon water resources.
