Former US President Bill Clinton praised the work of the Initiative on Conflict Resolution and Ethnicity (INCORE) during a visit to the centre's Londonderry headquarters May 23.

Clinton had requested a briefing on the work of INCORE because of his continuing interest in conflict resolution. During his visit to Northern Ireland, Clinton also launched a Peace Centre in Enniskillen, scene of a bomb blast 14 years ago that killed more than 30 people.

The former president said he intended to play a continuing role in the field of conflict resolution and hoped he would have the opportunity  to work on projects with INCORE in the future.
