AURORA version 2:

Aoyama Gakuin University Library Resources On-line Retrieval Assistance System on CD-ROM 1996. Updated annually. (Donated by the Aoyama Gakuin University Library)

Biography Index on CD-ROM:

A bibliographic database that cites biographical material appearing in more than 3,000 periodicals indexed in the Producer, H.W. Wilson Company databases and additional selected periodicals as well as books. Periodicals indexed are selected from all subject areas and biographical subjects indexed range from antiquity to the present and represent all fields and nationalities.

Bowker-Whitaker Global Books in Print Plus:

CD-ROM product of 13 books in print provides access to complete English-language bibliographic information from USA, UK, Continental Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Asia, Latin America, Canada and the Oceanic States. Contains more than 2.5 million bindings and updated monthly.

CD MARC Bibliographic (English only):

The English only selection consists of all records in the Library of Congress MARC database for materials in English or that have no language code. Ceased in 1997.

CDMARC Names:

National name authority file on CD-ROM includes name and series authority records created by cataloguers at the Library of Congress. Ceased in 1997.

Development Activity Information:

Contains development activities of international development agencies. Information is contributed by UN ACCIS, OECD, World Bank, IDB, CAB International, CIDA, GTZ, IDRC, JICA, USAID and Kureditastalt Fur Wiederaufbau etc. Updated semi-annually.

Including Harvard Business Review Classic Articles (1956-1989), Harvard Business School Case Studies, Harvard Business School Press Books and Harvard Business School Videos.

HOTSPOTS: the inside look at the United Nations and global crises:NEW

CD-ROM chronicling the 50 year history of the United Nations. It includes a virtual tour of the UN, interactive time panorama, hundreds of high-quality photographs,audio clips and movies, hundreds of in-depth reference articles. Produced in 1997 by Frankfurt Balkind Interactive West LLC.

Japanese Publications from 1945 to 1993:

Contains bibliographic information of 1.4 million Japanese publications.

Peace Research Abstracts 1964-1992:

Based on 'Peace Research Abstracts' Journal published monthly by the Peace Research Institute in Dundas. More than 187,000 abstracts are indexed by 'Chemical Abstracts.'

Social Science Index:NEW

A Cumulative index to 415 key international Englich-language periodicals produced by H. W. Wilson. It covers author index and subject index to articles since 1983. Updated monthly.

Social Science Source:

Covers over 400 titles in the social and political sciences. Full text articles for 40 key social science journals are contained. Produced by EBSCO Publishing. Updated monthly.

Ulrich's Plus:

Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory contains over 125,600 regularly/irregularly issued serials. Quickly identifies and searches virtually every periodical, serial and annual publication worldwide. Updated quarterly.

UNBIS Plus:

Comprises ten different databases providing bibliographic access to the documentary output of the United Nations and to non-UN publications held at the Dag Hammarskjold library in New York or the Library of the United Nations Office at Geneva; access to the full text of UN resolutions; to voting records and citations to speeches and agendas; and to authority files of names and subject terms. Updated quarterly.

The Backfile includes records from all ten databases up to and including 1992; the Current file includes records from 1993 onwards and is published every quarter, with each new Current disc updating and superseding the previous one.

UNS/SABIR

UN System Selected Agencies Bibliographic Information Records by ACCIS. It contains over 195,000 bibliographic records describing the publications and documents of 32 organizations including UNU.

Yearbook Plus of International Organizations and Biographies

The 3rd CD-ROM edition, 1997/98, of a well known reference directory which covers international organizations, governmental organizations, private and NGO sectors. Edited by Union of International Associations and published by K.G. Saur.
